Old Country Store
When I was a boy not much larger than a grasshopper When I went to bed I hoped I'd have a happy dream One of my fondest dreams was my visits to grandpa's farm Grandpa, grandma and I making a churn of ice cream. Another dream I loved to have was Grandpa and me. Walking down an old clay road to the old country store I had to stand on my tip toes to look inside the candy case Each time all that candy made my mouth water a little more. Sadly, grandma and grandma aren't with me anymore But my memories of them will always live in my mind Because those young days I spent with them on the farm Were days in my life that were a very special kind.
